c. 1905, Austria, limed dark stained oak, leather, brass tack borders, the cubic-form chair with leather paneled sides, tight leather upholstered seat and back, possibly for the Wittgenstein or similar commission and likely produced in the Wiener Werkstatte, unmarked.

Condition:  Finish and leather cladding is very old and possibly original, scattered tears and rot holes in leather, but generally well preserved, cushion upholstery later and with minor distress
